About
Electrical & Electronics Engineering graduate from the University of Nairobi, with hands-on experience in telecom network operations at Huawei Kenya, supporting live Safaricom infrastructure.
I'm building toward cloud-native networking and next-generation infrastructure — with particular interest in 5G, Open RAN, SDN/NFV, and network reliability engineering. I'm comfortable across the stack, from embedded systems and RF fundamentals to cloud platforms and operational analytics.
I bring both technical depth and the ability to translate complex systems into clear operational insights — developed through NOC work, KPI reporting, and academic research.
Experience
Network Operations Center & Data Analysis Intern
Huawei Kenya — Supporting Safaricom Live Infrastructure
- Provided L1/L2 support for Safaricom, ensuring platform stability and 99.9% service availability through rigorous daily health checks of telecom analytics systems.
- Monitored SmartCare/SEQ platforms and performed service health checks across live telecom environments.
- Assisted in physical server installation and configuration within production network environments.
- Utilized SQL and dashboards to generate KPI and CEM performance reports for incident triage and NOC troubleshooting.
- Gained exposure to cloud-native infrastructure workflows including basic Kubernetes (kubectl) interaction for service inspection and monitoring in production.

Projects
LoRaWAN Smart Irrigation System
A two-node LoRa-based smart irrigation system built for remote agricultural environments. Uses ESP32 + SX1278 Ra-01 LoRa modules with DHT11 temperature/humidity sensing and resistive soil moisture sensing. Implements automatic dual-condition irrigation logic, manual override via Blynk IoT, and RSSI/SNR link quality monitoring.
Field tested to 800 m in urban NLOS conditions in Nairobi. Designed with LPWAN principles for low-power, long-range IoT data pipelines.
